WBUR-FM 90.9 plans to broadcast its July 7th interview, which took place at Fairsted, with Gerry Wright during one of its local Morning Edition segments between 5:00 am and 9:00 am on Friday morning, August 7th. The focus of the interview was Frederick Law Olmsted’s involvement with Yosemite in the 1860s in connection with the August 9th 150th anniversary of Olmsted’s Yosemite Report. Nice article and interview! I have great memories as a kid in Yosemite Park – a stay at the lodge with my family, and hiking up Half Dome and sleeping on top of it w/my summer-camp. Gerry is eloquent and compelling on Yosemite and on Olmsted’s vision of nature as art, his creation of the Emerald Necklace.
